Jessica Litaud
Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru
Le Trio 2022

56.00

"Jessica Litaud's Trio is a blend of the second pressings from the estate's three premier crus in Pouilly-Fuissé. An elegant nose of ripe fruit, dried flowers and toasted almonds. On the palate, it offers a controlled richness, supported by a lovely acidity and a long, salty finish. A cuvée that perfectly captures the complexity of the Pouilly-Fuissé terroirs. It is the ideal accompaniment to premium shellfish, creamy poultry dishes or fish tagines."

In the vineyard, in the cellar

Jessica Litaud’s Trio is a blend of the second pressings from the estate’s three premier crus in Pouilly-Fuissé:

  • La Maréchaude: At an altitude of 270 to 310 metres, La Maréchaude (9.38 ha) spans three lieux-dits: En Ouche, La Maréchaude and Le Nambret. Set on limestone overlying marl, the soils are brown, stony and of varying depth. Jessica Litaud’s plot comprises 0.25 hectares of 50-year-old vines.
  • Sur la Roche: This 14.76-hectare Premier Cru comprises the localities of Sur La Roche and part of La Maréchaude. Situated at altitudes ranging from 300 to 390 metres, its brown, stony soils derived from hard limestone are shallow to moderately deep. On the surface, they are clayey and contain little limestone. Jessica Litaud’s plot comprises 0.71 hectares of 50-year-old vines.
  • Les Crays: Situated in a well-ventilated area, this vineyard is the highest in the appellation (between 320 and 400 metres above sea level). It comprises the hamlets of Les Crays and Le Martelet, totalling 10.75 hectares. Its terroir consists of sloping, brown, calcareous soils that are very stony, deep and uncompacted, resting on blue clay. Jessica Litaud’s plot comprises 0.21 hectares of century-old vines.

Aged for 24 months, 3 months in casks and 21 months in stainless steel vats
