“Jardin du Renardeau is a Chardonnay marked by the purity and expression of its terroir, signed Mathieu Joblot and Philippe Revenu. Grown in organic farming, this Chardonnay is distinguished by its finesse and aromatic brilliance (aromas of ripe fruit, candied lemon and white flowers). The palate preserves all the intensity of the fruit, with a full body, a beautiful length and a very elegant saline finish. Ideal to accompany a ceviche of sea bream, a vegetable tart or cheeses (goat or hard pasta).”

The Joblot-Revenu estate in Auxey-Duresses

The Joblot Revenu estate was born from an encounter. That of Philippe Revenu and Mathieu Joblot, two wine and nature enthusiasts, united by the same ambition: to reveal the best of Burgundy’s terroirs through exceptional wines made with respect for the environment.

The adventure of the house Joblot-Revenu takes root in Auxey-Duresses, a small village in Burgundy with an exceptional wine heritage. This is where they find their winery, a stone building steeped in history. Beyond its raw beauty and authenticity, this place is a promise: to be able to vinify the first vintages in a space where every detail, each wall and each barrel resonated with a vision of wine. It was the ideal place to write the first chapter of the Joblot-Revenu estate.

From the start, it became obvious: we had to work differently. With patience, humility and rigor, Philippe and Mathieu went to meet the most talented winemakers. They listened to them, understood their vision, and above all, they earned their trust. It was with them that this project came to life.

The Joblot-Revenu philosophy

Philippe and Matthieu’s commitment is simple: to work in harmony with nature. They chose organic viticulture, not out of fashion, but out of a deep conviction. Preserving the soil, respecting biodiversity, accompanying the vines without artifice. Each cuvée is the result of meticulous work, where human intervention is done with delicacy, in respect for life. The wines are a reflection of this approach: sincere, vibrant, imbued with a terroir that they have at heart to magnify.

A natural and precise winemaking process

Indigenous yeasts: we let the fermentations take place naturally, without adding industrial yeasts. Aging on fine lees: to bring complexity and depth without masking the fruit. Minimal intervention: no over-extraction, no excessive filtration, just a delicate accompaniment to the wine.

Le Jardin du Renardeau, a symbol

Some encounters mark a life. That of Philippe and Mathieu and their house Joblot-Revenu took on a special meaning the day when, during the visit to our winery, a young fox found himself in front of them, curious and intrepid. A moment suspended, a sign of destiny. This unique moment inspired them. In tribute to this unexpected encounter, they decided to name the first cuvées “Le Jardin du Renardeau”, as a nod to the nature that surrounds them and the spontaneity that guides their choices. Because a wine is above all a story to tell, and the story of Joblot-Revenu starts here…
