Description
Les Amourettes is an ultra-mineral Côte Chalonnaise cuvée from the Les Champs de l'Abbaye estate. It comes from the Les Cailloux vineyard, on the Rully plateau overlooking the Côte Chalonnaise. The soil on this plot is very stony, forcing the vines to send their roots deep into the ground to find nourishment, which explains the minerality of the wines produced here.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
White marl terroirs (Middle Jurassic) located in the commune of Aluze. Beautifully situated on an east-southeast-facing slope, well sheltered from westerly winds. Vines planted in 2014 at high density (11,000 vines/ha) with Chardonnays derived from mass selection and high-quality clones. ‘Pneumatic’ pressing of the whole harvest. Natural yeasts. Alcoholic fermentation (12 months) and malolactic fermentation in barrels (aged 0 to 4 years). Blending 3 months before bottling and light filtration through a pure cellulose disc. Small first harvest in 2017. Yield: 25 hl/ha.
