Description
Le Fruit de ma Passion is a champagne from Vincent Charlot that perfectly illustrates his admirable work with biodynamic vineyard plots. One appreciates its aromatic complexity, body and depth. An original champagne that perfectly captures the spirit of the estate.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
Vincent Charlot’s Fruit de ma Passion champagne is made from two plots: La Genette (0.55 ha) and La Chapotte (0.55 ha). Vinified in oak barrels for 8 months. Exclusively indigenous yeasts. No malolactic fermentation. No fining, no filtration. Champagne made exclusively from the 2014 harvest. Extra brut dosage.
The winemaker
is an unconventional and fascinating Champagne
winemaker based in Mardeuil, a stone’s throw from Épernay. He works organically, but above all biodynamically, on a multitude of small plots around Épernay. Passionate and inexhaustible, he makes his own compost and preparations and grows most of the plants he uses himself. For over 15 years, he has been carrying out exceptional work to revitalise the soil, fauna and flora. His wines are the very expression of this vital energy that many winemakers, journalists and researchers come to admire.
