Thibault Ducroux Morgon Corcelette

Thibault Ducroux, Morgon Corcelette 2021

91/100

A Corcelette well worth a try. Still showing the freshness of the vintage. However, it hints at just the right level of extraction, allowing a mouth-watering minerality to shine through. It has good ageing potential. €20

Nicolas Maillet, Mâcon-Verze

Nicolas Maillet, Mâcon Verzé 2020

93/100

A lively, very flavourful attack with notes of white fruit and acacia honey. This is a wine with a taut, vigorous profile and a fresh, minty finish: delicious. €18

Sainte Marie Côtes du Jura Savagnin, a blend

Domaine Sainte-Marie Savagnin, topped up with water, 2017

90/100

A chlorophyll-like note, somewhere between mint and lemon balm, characterises this distinctive Savagnin, aged for three years in large oak casks. The wine is smooth, displaying both fullness and liveliness. The finish is fresh and firm. €12

Sainte Marie Côtes du Jura Savagnin Tradition

Domaine Sainte-Marie Savagnin Tradition 2013

90/100

With its deep golden hue, this wine offers a buttery, honeyed bouquet, subtly tinged with hints of curry. The presence of a slight haze becomes more pronounced on the palate, supported by very firm acidity. This is a wine to be savoured: it is well-rounded, mature, with lovely length and… readily available. €21

Château de Coulaine, Chinon Blanc Sinople 2021

91/100

A delicate expression of Chenin, with citrus notes and a sleek, fresh palate, offering a lovely richness. A refined white wine perfect for Japanese cuisine. €16

Coulaine Castle, Chinon

Château de Coulaine, Chinon Red 2021

90/100

A lovely hint of raspberry brings this 2021 to life; its medium-bodied wine is structured by mouth-watering tannins. An extremely appealing sincerity of flavour. Unpretentious and precise. €13

Henri Milan Haru Rosé

Domaine Milan, Haru Rosé 2022

91/100

A deep orange colour with a hint of cloudiness. A rosé that’s full of character, both in colour and aroma, with notes of peach, mandarin and blood orange, finishing with a lovely bitter edge. We love its uniqueness. €14

La Colombière, Fronton Coste Rouge 2020

93/100

After a brief moment of closure, the nose reveals very ripe fruit and a hint of violet essence. The palate is succulent, framed by fresh, mineral tannins, leading to a savoury finish. A fine wine with excellent ageing potential. €16

Domaine de Brin, Gaillac Mauzac 2021

92/100

A lovely attack: intensity, power and depth are all present, along with a crispness and perfect salinity. This is a fine example of a macerated Mauzac, without any off-notes (the green apple note is prominent) and with a hint of fresh mint. €18

Arretxea, Irouleguy Tradition 2021

93/100

Gentle pressing and traditional manual punching down preserve the fruitiness of this cuvée, made from 70% Tannat. It has a silky texture and clean, supple tannins with a delicious finish. €16
